Rain and Watering

After a record breaking hot and dry spell we had some welcome rain. Despite this please continue to water efficiently and effectively.

A good soak every 10 days around the roots is better than a daily dose. Consider mulching your beds which prevents water from evaporating.

Watering cans can be filled from the tanks and are more environmentally friendly than a hose.

Summer Show

Saturday July 11th

Hayes Village Hall

Our busy summer continues with our Summer Show with classes for everyone to show their flowers, fruit and veg. There are also classes for cookery and crafts.

For our younger members there are three classes creating a  collage from leaves, a Lego garden or three Muffins. See the web page for ideas and recipe!

We Need You!

As you will know running a Society like the HHS does not happen by magic. To continue running the shows, plant sales, the allotments and other activities we need more members to be actively involved.

From helping put out tables, serving teas, selling tickets to helping administer the allotments, membership, judging and the business and legal sides of the Society, your help would be greatfully appreciated. Please get in touch by either asking a Committee member or drop an email to us at:
